Thanksgiving tea party organized by the University of Nanhua
Principle Lin presided a tea meeting during 4th and 5th, July, in Nanhua cafeteria. In order to thank the people whoever supported the school. High level managers like, vice Chief of Direct, Master Cih-Huei, Master Huei-Jhoa, Master Huei-Lun, Master Yung-Guang, Master Man-Yi and Master Huei-Long were also present on the meeting. Almost two thousand people joined the meeting.
During the activity, the managers turned themselves tea boiler. They boiled the tea and served the people. Showing the gratitude to the people whoever supported the Nanhua University. And their passion for joining the plan, “million people support the education”, which made Fo Guang Shan already built five universities in the world. Not only the tea, but also gave the letter of appointment of honor directors to each person who joined the meeting. Inviting them to be our honor director of Fo Guang Shan education system.
Principle Lin said, very thank for the honor director and people whoever supported, made Nanhua University can build new building and made studying environment better. Principle Lin also shared the experience about managing the school, including from rank 33 to rank 9 of the excellence education plan from the department of education of Executive Yuan, and processing life education, we were chosen to set up the National Center of Life Education. Not only changed the studying attitude of students, but also raised the empathy and focus of students. Principle Lin had pointed out that Nanhua University doesn’t fear the shock of low birth rate, and educated students with the faith of lead lives by lives. Nanhua University had created the 95% resigned rate. The grades of freshmen are advantaging most in the nation. Fo Guang Shan not only has five universities in the world, but also has plenty and multiple oversea studying resource, to make the students have more chances to study oversea and open their international view.
We also invited six honor directs, they are the Chief of Director Chen, Mr. Kuang, Mr. Wang, and Mr. Wu, former principle of the University of West, Mr. Hung, Honor Direct of Chinese Buddhist and Mr. You. They shared what they think about supporting the education.
To let people see the changing of Nanhua University, school arranged five students who joined studying plan “Pearl Plan”, to share their experience. They are Yu-Min Zeng from Department of Communication, Wei-Jyun Liou and Ming-Fung Chen from Department of Live & Death, Yu-Ting Hong and Li-Syue Tang from Department of Biotechnology. They might limited by their background and growing environment. However, they had showed their pearly lives under teachers’ care. Moreover, students from Department of Folk Music played the music, increasing the feeling at the meeting place.
Master Cih-Huei said that Master Hsing Yun founded Fo Guang Shan for education, master founded Buddhism College first for educating Buddhist, and then founded “million people support the education”. To educate next generation.
